Irving M. Jones, 84 of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on July 19, 2021.
Born on February 25th 1937 in Syracuse.
He proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He worked for Crucible Steel for 30 years. From 1981-2015 he owned Twin Caesars Tavern. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed hiking and biking. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sweetie of 40 years, Maureen Ogden; children, John (Robin) Jones, Cheryl (Bruce) Dinant, Richard (Karen) Jones, Ailene (Rick) Steenrod, Ann (Richard) Ramsey and Michael (Wendy) Jones; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Fran Benedict, John Jones and Jackie Jones and a large extended family.
Predeceased by Eleanor Fowler Jones; grandchildren, Richard Jones II , Brooke Jones and 6 siblings.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse on Saturday, July 24th from 9-1pm. Funeral Service will follow at 1pm. Entombment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rescue Mission, St. Judes Hospital and Hospice CNY
