Irene E. Smith, 69, of Liverpool, passed away June 27,2023. She was born in Syracuse, New York, on January 12, 1954 to Gertrude and Joseph Towndrow. Irene was previously employed as a bartender, as well as babysitter to many kids throughout the years.
In addition to taking care of her 3 sons, she loved bowling, doing cross word puzzles and mind puzzles. Irene loved going out and traveling with her sister Lula. She especially loved hanging out with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were her life!
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Joseph; and her brothers, Millard, Billy, Joseph, Leonard, Phillip and Chuck.
She is survived by her 3 sons, John (Christina) Smith; Daniel Smith; and James Smith; siblings, Lula (Donald) Gates, Kate and Raymond; grandchildren, Sabrina, Zachary, Makenzie, Alexis, Angelous, Madison, Ariana, Makayla, Trenton, Savanah, and Gavin; great grandchildren, MJ, Ellyanna and Braxton; and many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Per Irene's wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Card and/or flowers may be sent to, 483 State Route 49, Cleveland, NY 13042.
