Irene L. Barcomb, 89, of Syracuse and formerly of Malone, NY, passed away at Loretto Nursing Home. She was born in Burke, NY, to Patrick and Nellie Rust. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Bernard F., in 1971 and her son, Darrell, in 1978. Irene is survived by her daughter, Shirley (John) Reilly; three sons: Dale, Lyle (Eileen) and Keith (Danielle) Barcomb; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Malone, NY. Friends may visit with her family on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Heart Association.
