Ilse G. Tarson, 72, of North Syracuse, passed away Tuesday after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Stuttgart, Germany on June 23, 1934 to the late Edward and Bertha (Sohnle) Wolfgang. She moved to Syracuse 47 years ago and owned Ilse's Beauty Shop and was also employed 23 years at Karch Beauty Supply, retiring in 2003. Ilse was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her children, Don Tarson of North Syracuse, Lori and Guy Blasi of Liverpool, Karen Marsell of Baldwinsville, Susanne Tarson of Liverpool and Anthony and Shannon Tarson of Syracuse; one sister, Lore Weinhardt of Germany; three brothers, Rowland, Karl-Heinz and Klaus Wolfgang all of Germany; grandchildren, Guy and Alexa Blasi, David and Danielle Marsell and Lauren, Tony and Nicole Tarson; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Contributions in Ilse's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, PO BOX 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
