Ian W. Pratt, 42 who was a lifelong Syracuse resident, passed away suddenly on Wednesday night.
Born on June 10, 1974 in Scranton, PA to Wayne Pratt and Joanne Noone Bode.
He had a passion for crafting handmade Irish Fighting and Shillelagh sticks.
Ian was an avid reader and had a wide spectrum of various genres including Irish History and outdoor survival.
He also had a large collection of folding and tactical knives and made sure that everyone he loved was protected and equipped.
Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Julie (Gilbert) Pratt; his parents, Wayne (Becky) Pratt and Joanne (Lt. Col. Glen) Noone Bode; Sister, Beth Pratt and brother, Jeremy Pratt; father-in-law, John A. Gilbert and mother-in-law, Cheryl Gilbert; sister-in-law, Stephanie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Nikki (Jacob) Ebbett and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will take place at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse on Tuesday 9AM-11AM.
Services will follow at 11AM.
Interment will be held at a later date in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.
