Homer I. Stedman

Homer I. Stedman, 90, of East Syracuse died Wednesday at The Crossings in Minoa. Mr. Stedman was a native and life resident of the Syracuse area. He co-owned and operated The Hub Diner at Carrier Circle retiring in 1989. Homer was a US Army Air Corps veteran serving in WWII. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Porter who died in 2001.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, the former Sadie Strong; sons, Thomas (Kathryn) of Minoa, Scott of E. Syracuse and Randy (Debora) Stedman of Manlius; daughters, Candace (Neal) Wakker of Syracuse, Nancy (Stanley) Ferris of Liverpool and Patricia (Jeffery) Morin of Marstons Mills, MA; twin brother, Charles E. Stedman of Syracuse; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 12 PM Monday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.
