Herbert C. Radeker

Herbert C. "Herby" Radeker, 86, of Brewerton, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Menorah Park in Syracuse. Herbert was born in Walton, NY on November 12, 1937, son of the late Bernard and Helene Radeker.

Herbert served in the US Navy and after returning from the service he attended Delhi College in Delhi, NY and Rider University in Trenton, NJ. He retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield in Syracuse as the Assistant Vice President of Provider Reimbursement after more than 30 years. Herb enjoyed traveling with his family to Myrtle Beach and Disney World. He also loved golfing, watching Syracuse basketball and football, going on cruises and traveling to Cancun, Mexico with his wife, Virginia. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his grandson, Nicholas; they often played checkers together.

Herbert was predeceased by his sister, Anne Turner and brother, William Radeker.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia H. Radeker, Two daughters, Lisa (David) Rockwell and Amy Radeker and grandson, Nicholas Rockwell, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 5-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with a service at 7pm.
