Herbert R. Lalonde, 86, of Hastings, passed away on Wednesday at the VA Medical Center. He was born on April 25, 1928 in Rochester the son of the late Herbert and Genevieve Lalonde. Herbert served in the US Marine Corps during WW II and was last employed at GE in Syracuse for 39 years.
Surviving are his longtime partner, Roberta VanAntwerp, 2 sons: Duane (Cynthia), Gary, 2 daughters: Linda Shuster, Cheryl Robinson, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 11-1pm at New Comer Funeral Home, with services to follow at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Onondaga County Veteran's Cemetery with full military honors.
