Henry Thomas Varner Jr., of Black Oak, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024. Born on September 16, 1934, Henry lived a life full of love, service, and dedication.
Henry was the beloved son of Henry and Claira Varner. He proudly served his country in the Air Force for 10 years, demonstrating his unwavering commitment and patriotism. Following his military service, Henry enjoyed a long and successful career at Carrier Corporation.
On June 29, 1961, Henry married Adrienne Castiglia, who preceded him in death. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising four children: Val, Jeanne, Gary, and Kenny. Henry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Henry was an avid golfer and bowler having bowled more than one perfect game. His love for these activities brought joy and camaraderie into his life and the lives of those around him.
In addition to his four children; Henry is survived by his grandchildren; Karista (Matt) Hill, John (Ramana) Lewis, Andrew (Sarah) Lewis, Hailee Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Jakob and Grace Oury, and Kate, Anna, Meko, Mia, and Leah Varner. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren; Monroe Lewis, Hollis Lewis, Wesley Hill, and Micah Hakic.
Henry’s warm spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Henry’s life will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 9am-10am.
