Henry "Buzzy" H. Popps

Henry H. “Buzzy” Popps Jr., 77, of North Syracuse, passed away September 2, 2024. Henry was born in Syracuse, New York on October 1, 1946 to Henry Sr. and Mina Popps. 

Henry was a tribal member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. He retired from City of Syracuse. In his free time, he enjoyed walking at Onondaga Lake Park, and feeding his squirrels. Henry was a generous and simple man who would give the shirt off his back.

He was preceded in death by Father, Henry H. Popps, Sr.; Mother, Mina M. St. Dennis; and Son, James Popps.

He is survived by his Three Daughters, Lisa and Johnny Taylor of Tylertown, MS, Alicia and Sean Vazquez, Nila Weller and Christine Mahar; Son, Adrian Popps; sister, Donna Degonzaque; 11 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren; and many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Family and friends may call on Friday, September 13th, from 4pm - 5pm at New Comer, North Syracuse, where funeral services will be held at 5pm.
