Henry "Hank" F. Melnik, 73, of Elbridge, passed away Monday after battling cancer. He was a Navy veteran during the Vietnam era. He was employed by General Electric and retired from Crouse Hinds. Hank was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and collected antique novelties and other memorabilia. To Hank, his family was the most important part of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife and friend, Jane of Syracuse; three stepchildren, Gene O'Herien of Auburn, Kelly (Reed) Brown and Sean (Lisa Kelly) Reed both of Syracuse; three siblings, John (Sandra) Melnik, Barbara (Nicholas) Foscolo both of Syracuse and James Melnik of Santa Barbara, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, 10AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Elbridge, NY. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM, at the funeral home.
