Helen M. Young, age 83, of Cicero, passed away on Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Potsdam, NY on June 28, 1935.
Helen retired from Countryside Federal Credit Union in Syracuse. Helen enjoyed quilting, baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved to watch SU Basketball with her husband.
She was predeceased by her son, Marvin Young, Sr.
Helen is survived by her husband of 55 years, George W. Young; daughter-in-law Kathy Young; son, Rodger (Debra) Young; daughters, Carolyn Harvey, Susan Young; 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 26 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, the 27th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
