Helen C. (Speidel) Thomas, 82, of North Syracuse passed away Saturday at home following a long battle with breast cancer. Born in White Plains, NY she worked for C.E. Chappell's Store as a Telephone Operator for many years. Helen was Past President of the Chappell's E.B.A. and was a Red Cross Blood Donor. She is predeceased by her husband William M. who died in December 1998.
She is survived by three sons; William M. (Marie), Bruce Edward (Bambi) and John Joseph, one sister; Dorothy H. Herman, three grandchildren; Matthew, Krystal and William and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 7 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be private. Friends are invited to visit with her family on Wednesday from 4-7 PM, at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse.
