Helen Rauer, 96, died on Saturday at Birchwood Nursing Home. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a 1930 graduate of Mt. Sinai School of Nursing. Survivors include her daughter; Paula Shaud, and two grandsons, Andrew and Daniel. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make contributions in Helen's name may do so to Syracuse Habitat for Humanity or Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.
