Helen R. Cogan, 78 of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away in Bristol, Tennessee on Wednesday. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Agnes Williams of New Hope, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Cogan; brothers Herman Williams, Horace Williams, Arthur Williams, Raymond Williams, Charles Williams and Clark Williams; Sisters Ruby Fox, Virginia Armstrong and Norma Pullen. Mrs. Cogan lived most of her life in the Central New York area and had resided in Tennessee for the last 17 years.

She had been employed as an insurance policy writer, office manager and shipping coordinator before retiring and moving to Tennessee to be near her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons; Donald and Daniel Cogan. Daughter-in-law; Betty Cogan, Grandchildren; Amy Stevenson, Robert J. Cogan, Ceara Cogan, Grayson Owens and Coy Owens. Sisters: Roberta Bush, Shirley Troendle and Jean Lukert, along with numerous nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 12-2pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.

Mrs. Cogan will be interred beside her late husband, Robert at Assumption Cemetery in Syracuse New York. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Wellmont Hospice House for their kind and loving care.
