Helen A. Mnich, 95, of Brewerton and formerly of Syracuse, passed away April 15, 2020 after a long illness.
Helen was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 24, 1924 to the late Anthony and Jenny Lodico. She was a successful businesswoman, owning and operating a dress shop from 1950 through 1957, Helen's Beauty Salon from 1958 through 1980, and through the 1980s and 1990s she had been selling her knitted and crocheted baby sets and blankets at the Regional Market. In her free time, she loved to travel with her husband and spend time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Raymond M. Mnich; and her brother, Frank Lodico.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah (John) Humiston and Donna (Myron) Valentino; a granddaughter, Caryn (Christian) Heilman; and a great-granddaughter, Lydia Heilman.
Services will be private. Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist/Holy Trinity Church Fund for the Parish Poor.
