Helen I. Meade, 101, passed away Friday at Birchwood Nursing Home. Born in Auburn, NY she was employed as a Bookkeeper at Gaylord Bros, Lafayette Country Club and Algeo. She retired after 50 years in 1971. Helen was a member of Eastern Star, Daughters of American Revolution and the Bowne House. She was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth White and Margaret Howe and 3 brothers, Walter, Robert and Leslie Meade.
Survivors include one brother, Arthur Meade, two sister-in-laws, Edith and Opal Meade and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday at 10 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Contributions in her name may be made to the Rescue Mission.
