Helen Louise Pina went home to be with the Lord on Monday. Besides the Lord she had her parents, Ralph & Susie Turner and her son John Richardson, Jr. waiting for her. She worked a number of jobs in her life but the last two jobs she held was her most cherished. She retired from the Syracuse Community Health Center in 1993 as a Podiatry Assistant. A month before her passing she was an active Adult Daycare Provider with the Salvation Army Senior Companion Program.
She leaves to cherish her memory 4 children; Michael (Aneatra) Harper, Amos (Cynthia) Mechanic, Harriett Mechanic, Debra (Otis) Boyd, 15 grandchildren; Amos Mechanic, Jr., Kristal Mechanic, Ryan Mechanic, Timothy Mechanic, Lydia (Byrd) Richardson, Arletha (Naki) Richardson, Jarvis Richardson, Rashawn Richardson, Michael Harper, Jr., Stephen Harper, Antonio Boyd, Sr., Richard Boyd, Krystal Boyd, Evelyn Boyd, Tamia Boyd, 14 great grandchildren; Martinique Richardson, Najiah Richardson, Yahmar Smalls, Kyla Brown, Ty-Quan Cochran, Khamanyie Richardson, Yacheria Richardson, Shonmeir Richardson, Kyelea Richardson, Kyelek Richardson, Pharell Richardson, Antonio Boyd, Jr., Nazier Boyd and Aniya Boyd.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 9-11am at Grace Episcopal Church, Madison St., Syracuse with services to follow.
