Helen Lucia Holton, 84, passed away Friday, October 13, 2006 at home with her family. She was a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area. A switchboard operator at St. Joseph's Hospital for 21 years, she retired in 1991 to spend more time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Doupé, her son, Jack Holton, two sisters, Josephine Giamartino and Adeline Panetta, a brother, Albert Desimone, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, October 21 at North Central Assembly of God, 7463 Buckley Rd., North Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to The Healing Rooms of Greater Syracuse (whose prayers helped to prolong her life and to make her passing gentle and peaceful), 209 Oswego St., #9, Liverpool, NY 13088.
