Syracuse- Helen D. Faraino , 94, passed away on Friday with her loving family by her side.
Helen was born on September 23, 1921 the devoted daughter of the late Peter and Parafkcvi Delaporta. Helen was a loyal wife of Tom Faraino and was a member of the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church.She graduated from Central H.S. and Central City Business Institute. Helen enjoyed spending time with her entire family.
She was predeceased by her sister Barbara, her step-son, Thomas, her daughter, Toni, her husband Tom, brothers; George Cannellos and Demo Stathis.
Helen is survived by her sisters; Maria Stathis & Corinne Cannellos, son, James (Gail) Bower, grandchildren, David and Taylor Evangelista, Michelle, Mike & Mark Faraino, Michael Van Slyke, 4 great grandchildren and her loving companion & friend Richard Bradon. Thea Eleni is survived by 14 nieces and nephews and all of their families.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7pm at held at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, N. Syracuse.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday 10:00 am at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Multiple Sclerosis.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Upstate Hospital and McHarrie Place for their professional and compassionate care.
Helen would like to thank everyone for all the fun!
