Heather Martin

Heather Martin, 67, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025 after a brief illness.

Heather was born in Syracuse, New York on July 10, 1957 to Francis and Mary Lou Martin (LaTour).

Heather found her career path in the insurance industry, she spent 22 years at General Accident, and had found her niche at the Grimsley Agency for the past 24 years.

In her free time, Heather enjoyed playing all types of card games, going to bingo, spending time with her family, and visiting her favorite beaches in Myrtle Beach, SC, and most recently, the Outer Banks, NC. She was also a very talented crocheter, always working on a beautiful, personalized project for a friend or loved one.

In her younger years, Heather was an avid camper, starting in tents and moving up to luxury RVs. CHEDMARDOs, KOA Syracuse, and most recently Brennan Beach were the family's well enjoyed summer camps/homes. Heather loved her family pets, especially Jake, the cat.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Francis Martin, and Mother, Mary Lou.

She is survived by her two sisters, Patricia Buchmann and Roxanne Martin; niece, Elizabeth "Berneice" (Bryan) Buchmann; nephew, Michael Buchmann; great-nephew Lucca; nephew, Andrew Buchmann; and Aunt Patricia Sattler and several cousins.
