Harvey G. Showens, 74, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Harvey was born in Jordan, NY on July 6, 1948, son of the late Wesley and Francis Showens.
Harvey retired from Laribee Wire, Jordan, NY. His love for sports was only out weighed by his greatest love, his grandchildren.
Harvey was predeceased by his Brothers; Elmer Showens, Howard Showens, Daniel Showens, Robert Showens, Sisters, Francis Starring and Sandra Marlowe.
He is survived by his beloved Son, Paul (Kristen) Showens, 2 Granddaughters, Madison Showens and Kylee Showens, 2 Sisters, Dawn (Dick) Ely and Nancy (Jim) Sylvester, Brother, Leon (Doris) Showens, former Wife, Judy (Showens) Oralls, along with nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4th from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, Harvey's wish would be to start a fund for his granddaughters' future. Donations can be made to Paul & Kristen Showens at 5 Huckleberry Lane, Liverpool, NY 13090.
