Harvey L. Root, 89, of North Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at the Baltimore -
Washington Medical Center. Born in Newport, Vermont, he was a WWII veteran and was retired from the US Postal Service. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary A. Root, 2005.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Paul) Eddy of Nevada; son, James (Tere) Root of Maryland; four grand-children; seven great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, 9AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with his family on Tuesday from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
