Harvey Elderbroom

Harvey Elderbroom, 89 of Cicero, passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2021 at home. Born on January 5th, 1932 in Syracuse, NY.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Upon leaving the Army, he worked various construction jobs, including co-owning Elderbroom Construction Co. Followed by working for ROC Communities, his last assignment was working with his wife, Nancy. In retirement he worked at North Syracuse Lawn and Snow in Cicero.
Harvey's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed, fishing, playing cards and billiards. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cicero, NY. Harvey was always known for his willingness to help family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy; children, William (Margaret) Elderbroom, Dennis (Susan) Elderbroom, Debbie (Timothy) Swartz and daughter-in-law, Deborah Elderbroom; 8 grandchildren, Amy (Eric), Jennifer (Patrick), Stacey (Paul), Julie (Devin), Tiffany (Stephen), Matthew (Tianyi), Jamie (Nico) and Jonathan (Pamela) 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his son, Edward Elderbroom and several siblings.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Bay Fire Department. Services will remain private.
