Harry W. Martin, 54, passed away on September 10, 2023 after losing a 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the life partner of Linda Koberna (Nigro). They shared 10 years of partnership together.
Born in Rochester, New York, he was the son of Harry B Martin and Linda (Martin) lanuzi. He graduated Liverpool High School in 1987 and went on to auto mechanic school through BOCES. He was employed as an Autobody Technician for Gerber Auto Body and Glass, formerly Carruba Collision. He previously worked at several auto body shops in the CNY area and in Florida. Harry was an absolute perfectionist at his job. Jokes were often made that he could tear apart a car and put it back together with his eyes closed.
Harry loved to spend time rebuilding the engine on his car, going 4 wheeling, riding his electric bike, spending time with friends and most of all, spending time with his fiancé, Linda and his dog Bella whom he both loved so much. He was the first person to offer help to anyone in need. When he loved, he loved with his whole heart. His friends were fortunate to have a friend like him and his true friends meant the world to him. He was the definition of good and he saw the good in everyone.
He was predeceased in death by his father Harry B. Martin; Grandparents, Liyod Bennett and Helen Drabicki and his beloved dog, Bella.
He is survived by his significant other Linda Koberna (Nigro), his mother Lynda (Jim) lanuzi and his sister Michelle (Michael) Haajar and their children; Linda's children, Jaime, Brittany, Alyssa and Jenna, who he loved as he would his very own children; and Linda's grandchildren, Mia Grace and Jaime Michael Jr. He had a very special bond with Jaime, Jr. and every time he held him, he would be telling people to snap a picture of the two of them together.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A service will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home.
