Harold Glenright Personius

Harold Glenright Personius, 92, of Marcellus, passed away September 27, 2023. Harold was born in Dushore, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1931 to Harold and Anna Personius. Before joining the United States Air Force, Harold taught guitar lessons and played guitar on a radio show in the early 1950s. Harold was employed with General Electric, Auburn for 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes, and chess. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Kay Personius; grandson, Matthew Gottung; sister, Elizabeth May; brother, Bert Personius; father, Harold Personius; and mother, Anna Thompson.
Harold is survived by his three daughters, Deb (Gidge Waldheim) Gottung, Teresa Personius, and Christine (Peter) Kraai; three sons, Mike (Pat) Personius, Tom (Vicki) Personius, Steve (Vikki) Personius; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan, Noah, Jessica, Heather, Callie, Dustin, Adam, Joe, Anna, and Rosie; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Harold's wishes, there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in Harold's memory to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, 7268 Caswell Ave, North Syracuse, NY 13212 and Make a Wish Foundation, 5005 Campuswood Dr, East Syracuse, NY 13057 .
