Harlan G. Chase

Harlan G. Chase, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at the VA Medical Center. Born in Syracuse he was a lifelong resident. He retired in 1985, as a self employed Interior Decorator for 35 years and was widely known in the Syracuse area. A Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, he was an Army Veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He is predeceased by his wife, Lucy Chase on May 10, 2008.
He is survived by his daughter, Joyce (Ed) Roberts of East Syracuse; sons, Michael (Patricia) Chase of Camillus, Timothy (Denise) Chase of North Syracuse; grandchildren, Jeff and Mackenzie Chase; sisters in law, Cora Costa and Victoria Chase; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, 10 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling Hours will be Friday from 5-7 PM, at the funeral home.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
