Gregory B. Tolone

August 21, 1931 — February 5, 2022

Gregory B. Tolone, 90, of Syracuse, went home to Jesus on Saturday February 5th. Born and raised in Syracuse NY, he graduated from Central High School, and attended Syracuse University before serving in the U.S. Army. Greg worked many years as a surgical technician and enjoyed painting, writing, and reading about world history. An avid sports fan, he loved watching both SU and the NY Giants play. Although he only had five children, he was affectionately known as "Dad" by so many people who knew him. He loved to laugh and have fun, was willing to sit and listen over a cup of coffee, and had a heart to help those around him. He loved the Lord Jesus, and loved volunteering in his local church, helping to serve others in his community.

Greg was predeceased by his son, David Tolone, his parents George B. Tolone & Mary Elizabeth Tolone, brothers, Dominick Tolone, Ralph Tolone, Joseph Tolone and sister, Teresa DeFranco.

He is survived by his loving wife, Guadalupe Tolone, children, Mary (Donald) Vincent, Michael (Cyndie) Tolone, Holly (Ken) Cole, Kate (Mike) Williamson, 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his brother, Rev. George (Phyllis) Tolone and many nieces & nephews.

Services will be held private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name to The Wounded Warriors Project.
