Gregory J. Sgroi, 95, of Canastota, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday. Born in Williamsport, PA, he retired from the NYS DOT. He was a Veteran of the US Army. He was devoted to his family and his love of antique cars. He is predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Helen and his sisters, Josephine, Sandy and Rose.
Gregory is survived by his daughters, Linda and Cindy; his granddaughter, Lindsay and great-granddaughter, Chloe Lynn; his sister, Marie; and his companion, Eleanor; and several nieces and nephews. He was an extraordinary man and will be deeply missed by his beloved girls.
Services will be private. There will be no calling hours.
