Greg L. Portzline, 71, of North Syracuse, passed away on Monday unexpectedly. He was born on June 30, 1942 in Cortland, NY. He was a pioneer of semi pro football in Central New York, winning multiple national championships as owner of The Express. Greg enjoyed spending time with family and was happiest holding his grand babies.
Surviving are his wife Patricia, of 36 years, son, Greg Portzline II, daughter (s), Stacey, Tricia, Laurie, Lisa, Beth, Jennifer, 3 stepchildren; Rob, Heather, Stephanie, 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Gary, Mike, 2 sisters, Glenda & Marlene.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.
Contributions to American Heart Association.
