Graham A. Burwell

Graham Augustus Burwell III, 68, was born on March 10th, 1954 and departed this life on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022 in Syracuse, NY. A native and life resident of Syracuse, NY, where he attended public schools and was a self-employed carpenter, vehicle mechanic and construction worker. Buzzy was an avid outdoor adventure seeker, who enjoyed traveling, music and hanging out with family and friends. He was also interested in his family history.

He joins his parents, Graham A. Burwell Jr. and Annie Belle Burwell, brothers, Curtis Alden McDowell and Glenn Russell McDowell and sister Willkie Wendella McDowell.

Buzzy leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Terry Burwell of 20 years, children, Cheri Burwell of Syracuse, Jahquan Taylor of Syracuse, Shantell Burwell of South Carolina, Jaquesha Burwell of New Jersey, John Beverly Jr. (Kaycee) of Farmington, NY and Jason Beverly (Tonya) of Canandaigua, NY; grandchildren, Aaliyah Beverly, Ariyanah Beverly, Alyvia Beverly, Adryana Jones, Destiny Beverly, Jaylynn Beverly, Emily Gleason, Cameron Beverly, Jahsiah Taylor, Elijah Santiago, Ayhnalise Beverly, Jayson Beverly, Sienna Burwell and Elias Santiago; Great-granddaughter, Rai' Lynn; sisters, Angela McDowell of Syracuse, NY, Rhonda Parker (Darnell Sr.) of Durham North Carolina and a host of many cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Also his beloved dog, Diamond and cat, Nibbles.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremation & Funerals on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 from 1-3pm. Funeral service will follow at 3pm.

Everyone in attendance is invited to wear Graham's favorite color, purple. The family of the late Graham A. Burwell III acknowledges with grateful appreciation your many kind gestures of love extended during their time of bereavement.
