Grace (Campbell) Parker, 89, of Cicero, also known as "Skiddy", passed from this world on November 14, 2016 after an extended illness. Grace was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her quick Irish wit and strong spirit gained the respect of all those she met.
Her focus in life was her family. Grace enjoyed being a member of and traveling with the Cicero Senior Citizens lead by Judy Dickson, gardening, endlessly reading her hundreds of cookbooks, playing gin rummy and scratch-offs.
Grace was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, James A. Parker; her parents, James and Helen Campbell and her beloved brothers, Neil, John, Jerome and James.
Grace leaves behind her children, Cheryl (Lew) Ashby of Tenessee, Kathy (Tony) Buck of Central Square, Patricia (Tom) Hudak of North Carolina, Joni (Bob) Koegel of North Syracuse, Jim (Mindy) Parker of Syracuse and Jeff (Lisa) Parker of Idaho; as well as, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and all those children she "adopted" throughout her life.
The family would like to thank her caregivers that endlessly supported her care throughout her last days. Among them were Emily Fisher and Linda Laribee; as well as, the multitude of Hospice workers and volunteers.
Never wanting to inconvenience anyone, Grace requested private services. Should anyone wish to make a contribution, please contribute to Hospice of Central New York, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
