Grace E. Schader, 84, of Cicero, passed away Saturday after a long illness. She was a graduate of Crouse Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She worked for Crouse Hospital in the dept. of Obstetrics and the operating room for many years. She then worked for James Square Nursing Home until her retirement in 1986. After her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, reading and trips to Cape Cod.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Schader of Cicero; her sister, Ruth Kelty of Minoa; four brothers; Kenneth of North Syracuse, Richard of Brewerton, Harold "Buck" of Plainville and Raymond of Cicero; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, 7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling Hours will be Wednesday from 4-7Pm, before services.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Crouse Hospital School of Nursing.
