Grace M. Bottega

On September 9, 2024, Gracie was called home to heaven to join her parents and other family members. Gracie was born in Syracuse, NY on May 22, 1949 to Vincent and Margaret Bottega. Gracie lived 75 years and was able to pass peacefully in her own bed at her Lawndale Residence. Gracie was adored by all those who knew her. She was best known for her compassionate yet fiery personality. She loved singing, dancing and coloring; she also enjoyed calling her sister and having coffee with family and friends. Gracie took pride in taking on responsibility and household tasks at her place of residence. Gracie’s favorite pastime was shopping for nice clothes, watching television with her caregivers and visiting with her sister, Kathy.

Gracie was predeceased by her loving parents and sisters, Rose Marie Cyronis, Margaret “Peggy” Caponera and Mary Anne Kenny.

She is survived by her sister, Kathy Battin; brother, Louis M. Bottega and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Sunday, September 15, 2024 with calling hours from 2:00pm – 4:30pm with a service to follow. We welcome and encourage all those who knew and loved Gracie to please join us in honoring her life.
