Gordon P. Ware

Gordon P. "Gordy" Ware, 91, formally of Oswego, New York, passed away on March 3, 2025. He was born in Oswego on February 2, 1934 to Raymond and Mabel Ware. Gordon retired from Alcan in 1998. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, and playing games.

Gordon was predeceased by his son, Terry; his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his daughters, Pam (Jimmy) Thompson and Kim (Jerry) Furney; son, Michael Ware; grandchildren, Jamee Battle, Kristopher (Adele) Ware, Katie (Brandon) Delaney, Jason (Melissa) Furney and David (Cate) Furney; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Eleanora Buskie; his special families, The Lavaute’s & the Gould’s; and his very special companion and care giver, Mary Lynn Brennan.

There will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at the Lycoming Methodist Church at a later date.
