Godofredo " Fred" Ramirez, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and son finished his journey here with his family on Tuesday, January 29th. He was 78 years old.
He passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital after a longtime battle with cancer. Fred, as his family would call him, managed to stay longer in his family's life than expected.
He was predeceased by his mother, Margarita Padilla; his father, Juan Ramirez and an infant child, LeRoy Ramirez.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Virginia (Cartner) Ramirez; children, Patrick J.G. Ramirez, Joseph Pond Jr.,William Pond, Christopher Pond, Dominica (Ramirez) Burnett, Branden Ramirez Snyder, Tina Anable, Clifford Warren and Juanita (Warren) Manzi .
Calling hours will be held Monday, February 4th from 3-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in North Syracuse, with a service to follow at 4pm.
