Gloria M. Viau, 88, of North Syracuse, passed away on August 30, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Gloria was born January 14, 1926 to Margret and Phillip Kernan in Milwaukee, WI. She lived all over the world before finally settling down in North Syracuse where she lived the majority of her life. Gloria retired from MONY and Sears.
Gloria is predeceased by her parents Phillip and Margret Kernan, her brother John (Carol) Kernan and daughters Kimberly and Kathleen. She is survived by her children, Richard (Josephine) Viau, Michelle Viau, Phillip (Kim) Viau and Peter Viau; grandchildren, James (Angie) Viau, Sara Viau, Kristopher (Gretchen) Bialy-Viau and Kristine Bialy-Viau; and great-grandchildren Connor, Kalib, Kaitlyn and Paige. Gloria also leaves behind her adopted family Leslie, Katie, Kimberly and TJ.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Joe's on floor 1-8 for the excellent care they gave to Gloria and the compassion they showed to the family.
At Gloria's request there will be no calling hours and burial will be private. Those who wish can make a donation in Gloria's memory to the North Syracuse Public Library for the purchase of large print books.
