Gloria J. Lincoln, 69, of East Syracuse, NY went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 17th, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Gloria was born September 27, 1944 in Oneida, NY to the late LaVern and Adelia Loretz.
Gloria loved the Lord deeply and was a faithful member of Grace Assembly of God in Syracuse, NY and was active in their women's and girl's ministries. Gloria was a graduate of Fayetteville Manlius High School and worked in the retail industry for many years, most recently at Dollar General for over ten years. Gloria devoted her life to serving and loving her family, her church, and all those who came into contact with her.
Gloria is predeceased by her son, Matthew.
She is survived by her husband, David, of 44 years; daughter, Cathy (Andy) Sanders; two grandchildren, Michael and Joselyn; sisters, Carolyn (Jerry) Combes and Virginia (Fred) Hittenrauch; three brothers, LaVern Jr, David Paul, and Duane (Eileen); along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at Grace Assembly of God, 4220 Fay Rd., Syracuse. Services will be held on Saturday 10am at the church. Burial will take place at North Syracuse Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Grace Assembly Women's Ministries.
