Glenn A. Williams

August 20, 1960 — July 18, 2019

Glenn "Glennwood" "Glenny" Williams, 58, of Pennellville, NY passed away peacefully at home after a long, courageous battle with Leukemia.

Born in Syracuse, NY, Glenn was a graduate of Liverpool High School, class of 1979.

He was happily married to his high school sweetheart, Mindy for 37 years. The absolute joy of his life was his daughter, Heidi, whom he was recently blessed to be able to walk down the aisle.

Glenn, a meat cutter by profession, was employed by Wegmans Foods for over 30 years. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, and riding motorcycle. He was an avid dirt car racing enthusiast and loved all things "motorized".

Glenn will be remembered for his kind heart and giving spirit, but he will mostly be remembered for his quick wit and devilish sense of humor. If he could "get you" he took great pleasure in it. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Audrey and Robert Williams; his brother, Dennis Williams; and father in law, Leo Williams, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Mindy; daughter Heidi (Christopher Hulsizer) Williams; sisters, Christine (Robert) Storie, and Francine (Greg) Yee; nieces and nephews, Kelley, Becki, Mathew, Meghan, Lexie, Christopher, and Ryan; great nieces, Ashley, Brittany and Courtney, mother in law Liselotte Williams; brothers in law, Leo (Ingrid) Williams, Timothy (Dorice) Williams; and his little pal, Carter.

A very special thank you to the staff at Wilmott Cancer Center, Rochester, NY for all your dedication, love and support, over the last 5 years. You are truly angels and we will forever be grateful.

Calling hours will be Sunday, July 21, at Newcomer Cremations & Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse from 2 to 4 p.m., with a memorial service at 4pm to celebrate the blessed life of a wonderful man who was loved beyond measure.
