Glenn L. "Hoot" Burrows, 81, resided in Central Square, passed away Saturday. He retired from Schindler Elevator Corp. with over 40 years of service.
He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army. Hoot was a member of the Church of Christ Disciples in Felts Mills, life VFW 7325 in Constantia and the American Legion Post 1502 in Felts Mills. He was also a former member of the IUEC Local 62, Syracuse and IUEC Local 41, Springfield, Mass.
He is survived by his children, Joyce Burrows, Janice (B.Jay) Potter, Joseph (Sue) Burrows, James (Becky) Burrows, John (Linda) Burrows; his wife, Loretta Burrows; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, 9AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main Street North Syracuse. Burial will follow at the Felts Mills Cemetery at 12 noon. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
