Gertrude C. Wilson, 77, lifelong resident of the Canastota area, went to be with the Lord on Monday. She was born on January 26, 1936 in Syracuse, daughter of Vernon and Florence Coon, of Whitelaw, NY. She was a 1953 graduate of Canastota High School and worked for over 35 years at the Canastota Publishing Company.
She was a member of the Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Canastota.
Surviving are her husband, Sidney, of 57 years, son, Mark (Cindy) Wilson, daughter, Sandra (Kevin) Schulz, 5 grandchildren; Rachel, Sarah, Katie, Daniel & Krista, her brother, Earl Coon. She was predeceased by a grandson, Timmy.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4pm at Whitelaw Presbyterian Church, with services to follow at the church.
Contributions may be made to the Grace Bible Fellowship Memorial Fund.
