Germaine Sampson Jennings
August 21, 1923 — June 28, 2021
Germaine "Gerry" Sampson Jennings died Monday, June 28th at Park Terrace with family at her side. Born in Maryland on August 31, 1923, she joined the Marine Corps in March of 1944. It was during her service in WWII that she met her first husband, Thomas E. Sampson. In the early '70s, Gerry was one of the many computer pioneers.
She enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, bowling and golf and did for many years.
Gerry is survived by her sister, Mary Jean Hittle of Indiana; son, Jeff Sampson; daughter, Lynn (Bill) Myers; grandchildren, Brian Rice, Tyler (Petrina) Myers, Lindsay Myers, Kelsey Sampson; great-grandsons, Julian and Leo and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at New Comer Cremations and Funerals on Tuesday, July 6th at 5 pm.
