Gerald Richard Wells, 74, our loving husband, father and grandfather, of Brewerton, passed away Tuesday. A veteran of the Army, Gerald worked for Truax & Hovey for 35 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Gerald is predeceased by a son, Steven (1987), his parents; a brother, Raymond and Hazel Wells, Raymond R. Wells and his in-laws; Joseph and Mable Barth.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years; JoAnn, his beloved children; Patty (Michael) Fullmer, Joann (Curt) Capp, Sandra (Edward) Kampf, Michael Wells, Gerald Jr., Janet Wells and Lucy Moulton, 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his sisters; Marie, Marion and Jeanette, a brother; Kenneth and a brother-in-law; George Barth; sister-in-laws, Eileen (Jerry) Clark and Diane Mihaljevic.
Services will be Friday at 10 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 N Main St.
Contributions can be made to the VA Hospital.
