Gerald R. Volz

Gerald Robert Volz, 83, of Brewerton, passed away October 18, 2024 after a brief illness. Gerald was born in Utica, New York on March 11, 1941 to the late Robert and Mariana Volz. He attended Frankfort High School. 

He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He always put his family first. He was a gentle and kind man. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Volz; son, Matthew (Joleen) Volz; daughter, Tracey (John) Spilka; grandchildren, Alyssa (Timothy) Akers, Mackenzie Volz, Joshua and Michael Spilka; two great-granddaughters; and several siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins; K9 Best Friends, Pippa, and Jessie. 

Per the family's request, services will be private. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Augustine and his staff along with the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local SPCA.
