Gerald Szewczyk, of Syracuse passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday.
He served in the Navy 1960-1964 while serving aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking. Gerald was predeceased by his parents Frank and Dorothy Szewczyk.
Surviving are his wife Barbara; a son, Jerry; a daughter, Dorothy Renee; two brothers, Frank & Tom; one sister, Lorraine Highers; one grandson, Ryan Szewczyk; two granddaughters, Tiffany Sampere-Szewczyk and Nevaeh Coleman; one great granddaughter among several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
