Gerald E. Rolfe

Gerald Elgin Rolfe, of North Syracuse, passed away on Friday November 29, 2024. Gerald grew up on the family farm in Kirkville, NY and graduated from Minoa High School in 1953.

Gerald worked for Western Electric as a methods engineer until his retirement in 1984. He then worked for Nynex Material Enterprises until retiring in 1995.

Gerald loved working on Ham radios, and working around his yard. Gerry enjoyed camping and traveling out west with his family. Gerald also enjoyed his winter months spent in Florida. Gerald was a boy scout leader and was in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

Gerald married Eileen Kopp in 1956 and raised 6 children. He was predeceased by his son, Gerald M. Rolfe; daughter, Linda Amato; sisters, Phyllis Rolfe, Carole Coon, his parents, Elgin “Pete” and Louise Rolfe; and his great-grandson, Jonathan D’Eredita.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 68 years Eileen Rolfe; daughters, Brenda (Steve) Delles, Sandra (Joe) Colacino, Rhonda (Charlie) Bosch, Melissa (Shannon Pangburn) Cronk; his brother, Herbert (Faith) Rolfe. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. A private burial will take place in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
