Gerald S. Rockwood
December 4, 1939 — October 25, 2021
Gerald S. Rockwood, 81 of Chittenango, NY, passed away peacefully on October 25th, 2021 at home with his family by his side.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 267.
His family was his pride and joy and was involved in everything from Boy Scouts to coaching softball. He loved fishing, camping and gardening.
He is survived by his children, Susan (Don) Snedden, Kathleen (Jim) Scalzo and Gerald Rockwood Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Frank) Lopes, Rose Qasam and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother, Rose, his son, Keith and grandson Bobby.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY 13212 on November 3rd, 2021 from 10am-12pm. Service will follow at 12pm. Burial will be at North Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice CNY.
