Gerald A Nash, 87, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on December 20, 2021. Gerald was born in Manlius, New York on July 21, 1934 to Leo and Grace V. Nash.
Gerald served in the United States Army from 1957-1959. Gerald worked for Oberdorfer Foundries as a truck driver for 26 years, during which he obtained his commercial pilots license, going on to tow banners and gliders on weekends. He then went on to work at Clinton's Ditch (Pepsi) from 1985-1996 as a truck driver towing tandem trailers, and then part time at the Ramada Inn as a shuttle van driver during retirement. He had 71 accident free years in driving.
In his free time, he enjoyed his family and going to Florida every year taking the whole family on vacation to Walt Disney World since they opened in 1971. He was very proud of his family.
He was preceded in death by father, Leo Nash; mother, Grace Nash; two brothers, Richard Nash, Kenneth Nash; and Sister, Eunice Rogers.
He is survived by his spouse of 64 years, Joan A. Nash; brother in law, Robert Pfeiffer; Children, Rick (Melanie) Nash, Tracy (Eric Paccone) Sabine, Gerald (Maryanne) Nash Jr. and Tim (Jennifer) Nash; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday December 27th, 2021 from 4-7PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. Services will be held December 28 at 10 AM. Interment will be held in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery following services.
