Gerald L. Magnanti, 74, of Syracuse, passed away December 19, 2022.
Gerald aka Jerry was born in Syracuse, New York on March 24, 1948 to Edward and Erma Magnanti.
He worked many years as a salesman for Rust-Oleum, which he loved because he was able to travel and chat with people. If there is one thing everyone knew about Jerry it was his gift of gab, and friends and family can attest to his strange sense of humor and quit-witted advice. Jerry not only loved to chat, he was also an avid SU sports fan. Jerry was known for his cooking especially his BBQ Sauce, Lasagna, and Ricotta pie. Being a loving father to both his children was very important to him and he loved spending time with family.
He is survived by his children, Don (Alex Teal) Magnanti of Albany; Gina (Bethany Dyer) Magnanti of Mattydale; sister, Debbie (Bob Cain) of VA; niece, Carrie-Ann (Joe) Cecere of VA; nephew, Daniel (Samantha) Cain of MD; stepson, Charlie Trudell (Kim) of Watertown; step daughter, Patti Trudell of Ogdensburg; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 30th from 4 PM – 6 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse.
