Gerald L. Hand, 68, of North Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Clyde, NY, he retired from Pennsylvania Truck Lines and was a member of the Teamsters. He coached for the Clay Panther football league and the Taft Rd. Little League and was an Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sandra; 2 sons, Gerald (Joy) Hand Jr., Jody (Maureen) Hand;3 daughters, Pamela Hand, Jackie Henderson, Lisa (Mark) Smith; a brother, Donald Hand; 2 sisters, Virginia Mundweiler, Patricia Hand; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, 1PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will take place in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Friends can visit with his family on Friday from 11-1PM at the funeral home, before services.
